Teoria e Contexto em Ação: Passado Simples (DID)

Veja em ação:
John: "Hi Ana. Did you work yesterday?"
Ana: "No, I did not work yesterday. I worked this morning."

Usamos o Passado Simples para falar de ações que começaram e terminaram no passado. Para negar e perguntar, usamos o auxiliar DID.

  • Afirmativa: O verbo muda. Se for regular, adicionamos -ED (ex: work -> worked). Se for irregular, ele muda de forma (ex: go -> went).
  • Negativa e Interrogativa: Usamos DID para *todas* as pessoas (I, You, He, She, It, We, They).
  • IMPORTANTE: Quando usamos DID ou DID NOT, o verbo principal volta para a forma base (sem -ed ou sem a forma irregular).

Exemplos Práticos da Estrutura:

Verbo Regular (Work):

  • Afirmativa: I worked.
  • Negativa: I did not work. (Verbo 'work' volta ao normal)
  • Interrogativa: Did I work? (Verbo 'work' volta ao normal)
  • Afirmativa: She worked.
  • Negativa: She did not work.
  • Interrogativa: Did she work?

Verbo Irregular (Go):

  • Afirmativa: They went. (Forma irregular)
  • Negativa: They did not go. (Verbo 'go' volta ao normal)
  • Interrogativa: Did they go? (Verbo 'go' volta ao normal)
